Poets and poetry lovers are invited to gather on Sunday afternoons in New West.
The Poetic Justice reading series runs regularly on Sunday afternoons at the Heritage Grill, with readings by featured poets and open mike sessions.
It's closed for Thanksgiving weekend, but the Oct. 19 session will feature Alan Hill and Kyle McKillop, with host Deborah L. Kelly.
A special Halloween edition is coming up Oct. 26 on the theme of Poets Wanted: Dead or Alive. The extended open mike session will give poets a chance to share their own dark, eerie, mysterious poetry or work from a dead poet of their choice. There will also be a costume contest with prizes and other Halloween-related fun.
Poetic Justice sessions run from 3 to 5 p.m. For all the details, see www.poeticjustice.ca.
