Do you love the performing arts? Are you interested in the future of arts in New Westminster?

The next New Westminster Cultural Roundtable gathering is set for Wednesday, July 14. It takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. outside Centennial Lodge, at the Queen’s Park totem pole.

The New Westminster Cultural Roundtable is a recurring event designed to bring together people with an interest in and a passion for the arts, as the Arts Council of New Westminster explains.

“Our purpose is to support the arts community in New Westminster and integrate the arts even deeper into our city’s culture,” an event write-up says. “As a community of practice, we are engaged in connecting and sharing in our lived experiences. Together we can accomplish so much more.”

You don’t need to be a performing artist to take part; the free event is open to everyone who would like to work together to bring community together through the arts.

The July 14 meeting focuses on performing arts. Future dates include an Aug. 18 focus on literary arts, and a Sept. 15 focus on visual arts.
