Lovers of the written word gathered in New West on the weekend for LitFest New West.
The celebration kicked off Friday night with an opening reception featuring comedy duo Linda Cullen and Bob Robertson of Double Exposure.
It continued through Saturday with a marketplace and day full of workshops at Douglas College - with workshops running the gamut from humour writing and children's writing to adapting your work for film.
The evening included open mike poetry readings, a Volumes of Authors session where visitors had a chance to mingle with 20 authors, and the final event - a showcase featuring a variety of literary and performing arts acts, plus the presentation of Royal City Literary Arts Society writing awards.
