James & Jamesy's O Christmas Tea is coming to the Massey Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Lovers of Monty Python, Mr. Bean and Dr. Seuss, get ready for some holiday hilarity at Massey Theatre.

The British comedy duo James & Jamesy are rolling back into town with O Christmas Tea, onstage Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

O Christmas Tea is reminiscent of British pantos, with wordplay, comic physicality and interactive elements. During the action-packed production, a Christmas wish for tea is fulfilled in titanic proportions. The world floods with tea, leaving the duo to find innovative and hilarious solutions to keep them afloat as they try to make their way back home.

“The Christmas season is a magical time of year that brings people of all ages together; a time when we are encouraged to dream big, embrace imagination, and celebrate a childlike excitement for merriment,” says Alastair Knowles (a.k.a. Jamesy), in a press release.

Knowles works alongside Aaron Malkin (James) and director David MacMurray Smith to create and perform physical comedy and physical theatre.

Since 2012, James & Jamesy productions have been performed more than 750 times across the U.K., the U.S.A. and Canada – including sold-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, and a five-week run Off-Broadway at New York’s SoHo Playhouse in 2018.

They’ve won numerous awards, including the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Live Ensemble and multiple Best of Fest mentions.

Massey Theatre is at 735 Eighth Ave. Tickets for O Christmas Tea range from $29 to $44 for regular seats, or $19 to $29 for students, and are available through www.ticketstonight.ca.
