Let us tell you a story no one told to us.

That’s the invitation from a group of LGBTQ2S+ elders who are holding an afternoon of storytelling at Massey Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Doors open at noon for the presentation starting at 12:30. The afternoon salon will share the stories of LGBTQ2S+ folks who have been taking part in a workshop with Allan Morgan, the Massey Theatre’s artist in residence. They’ve been meeting on Saturdays since the end of September to work on the project.

Morgan’s own life story was the inspiration for his solo show PRIDE: For the Young Gay, the Un-Gay and the Jaded Queen in All of Us, which ran at the Massey in September.

He launched the storytelling workshop with a mission to ensure that the stories of LGBTQ2S+ elders would be preserved for the next generation.

Morgan will facilitate Saturday’s salon.

Massey Theatre is at 735 Eighth Ave. The storytelling salon is free, and coffee and refreshments will be provided.
