Golden Age Theatre marks 60 years of Century House in New West

Remember the sounds of the 1960s? Check out Those Were The Days, a retrospective of highlights from 1958 to 2018, as Golden Age Theatre celebrates 60 years of Century House.

Golden Age Theatre is looking back on the past six decades with a celebratory evening of theatre.

Those Were the Days is onstage Friday, June 1 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 2 at 1 p.m. at Century House.

The show – which will highlight outstanding moments in news, politics, sports, music and fashion from 1958 to 2018 – is part of the seniors’ centre’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

Carla Krens directs the production, which will also feature the Century House Singers, the Century House Ukulele Musicians and Singers (CHUMS) and a variety of other volunteers and “honoured guests” from Century House.

Refreshments will be served after the show.

Tickets are $8 for members or $10 for non-members, available at the front desk at Century House (620 Eighth St., in Moody Park) or at the door on show days. Call 604-519-1066 for information.
