Travel show at the library, take a trip to South Africa. Eunice Hodge will introduce you to the country and wildlife through her photographs making stops between Johannesburg and Capetown, 2:30 p.m.. The travel shows are co-sponsored by the library and the University Women's Club of New Westminster and are held in the library's auditorium at 716 Sixth Ave. The library is wheelchair accessible.

Read With Us book club, meets at 7 p.m. in New Westminster Public Library. Magicians, battles of imagination and will, a duel to the death and a love story all take place in the astonishing Cirque des Reves. Read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and join in the discussion at the library. Glenbrooke North Residents Association, 14th annual garage sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Association is calling on all sellers and buyers to reduce, reuse and recycle. Information will be posted on the website at www.glenbrookenorth.ca. Residents wanting to take part in the sale can register their location by June 12 by contacting Marya McLellan at 604-525-3975 or emailing [email protected] with garage sale in the subject line. Donations are being accepted for Monarch Place, a local transition house offering shelter and support for women and children fleeing violence.

An evening of Gospel Music, 7:15 p.m., Westminster SDA Church, 7925 10th Ave., Burnaby, with entrance on 11th Avenue off Sixth Street. Concert is designed for people of all ages and denominations. Seating is limited and available on a first come first served basis. Freewill offering will be taken. Concert is a fundraiser for ADRA Canada, a humanitarian agency that seeks to empower the power around the world and in Canada with resources, skills and opportunities to live a better life with dignity and hope.
