The Measure of a Man: staged reading of JJ Lee's memoir about his father, 7 p.m. Performed by Ash Lee, a Vancouver theatre, film and TV actor, and directed by Raugi Yu, who played Dang in the TV show Mr. Young, the staged reading is presented by Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre and the New Westminster Public Library. The Measure of a Man was short-listed for several major Canadian prizes, including the Governor General's Literary Award for Non-Fiction. Pablo Neruda in translation, enjoy an evening of poetry by Pablo Neruda at New Westminster Public Library, 6:30 p.m. Neruda's epic poem, The Heights of Macchu Picchu, will be featured and performed by Manolis Aligizakis. Additional poems will be read by Candice James, Deborah L. Kelly, Gavin Hainsworth and Janet Kvammen.
