Are you an author in the Tri-Cities or New Westminster who's written about B.C. history? Check out this B.C. History Weekend event.

New Westminster and Tri-Cities authors who’ve written non-fiction books about B.C. history are invited to take part in an upcoming literary event.

The Chapters in Coquitlam (Pinetree Village) is hosting its first B.C. History Weekend event from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 5.

“If you’re a local author residing in Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows or Langley who’s written a non-fiction book about B.C. history within the last 15 years, Chapters Coquitlam bookstore invites you to apply for a book signing time slot,” a Facebook post notes.

If your application is successful, you’ll be given a two-hour time slot on one of the three days to meet and greet fans, autograph copies and sell books at the Pinetree Village Chapters.

Interested authors are asked to email a message with the subject line “BC History” and attach:

  • a picture of the front cover of your book
  • a brief summary of your book
  • your author bio

Send it to Deryk Fallon, community and event coordinator for Chapters Coquitlam by email.

The deadline to apply is Friday, Jan. 20.
