Visitors check out work at the Gallery at Queen's Park during the last pop-up exhibition by New West Artists. The gallery is hosting its second pop-up exhibition, featuring Artists in the Boro, this weekend.

The Gallery at Queen’s Park is continuing its venture into the world of pop-up exhibitions.

Hot on the heels of its first successful pop-up show, the Arts Council of New Westminster is continuing with a second one this weekend: Across the River, presented by Artists in the Boro.

The exhibition features a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, textiles and ceramics, and it’s on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A press release notes that Artists in the Boro is an inclusive group of artists dedicated to promoting the talents of those living or working in Queensborough.

“New Westminster is a diverse city with many unique neighbourhoods. We are proud to recognize the artists of Queensborough with this exhibition in our gallery in Queen’s Park,” said Stephen O’Shea, executive director of the arts council, in the release. “We hope the entire community of New Westminster joins us in this celebration of their artwork.”

Artists in the show include Reny Auger, Arthur Babiarz, Ginny Bryson, Dale Costanzo, Tony Donnelly, Terry Erickson, Joann Heringer, Pepe Hidalgo, Jessica Huynh, Karen Justice, Jean Konkle and Kelly A. Lambert.

An opening artists’ reception is set for Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. See www.artscouncilnewwest.org for more details.
