WINDSOR FORKS, N.S. — RCMP in Nova Scotia say two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash near the community of Windsor Forks.

The collision occurred late Thursday on Highway 14 and involved a pickup truck and a car travelling in opposite directions.

Police say two passengers of the car — a 20-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man — died at the scene, and that a third passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The car's 21-year-old male driver sustained serious injuries, and police say his blood was tested for traces of alcohol.

Police say they are waiting for the results of the blood-alcohol analysis to determine whether charges should be laid.

The man driving the truck and his female passenger sustained minor injuries.
