We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do This Weekend. For the Feb. 17 to 19 weekend, we have ...
1 Get out and support local author Colleen Cross, who is launching her debut suspense/thriller Exit Strategy on Friday, Feb. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Grill at 447 Columbia St.
Exit Strategy takes place in Greater Vancouver and Buenos Aires, Argentina and follows forensic accountant Kat Carter as she uncovers a massive blood diamond-laundering scheme with links to organized crime.
Books will be available for sale and signing; the event also includes a draw for a special Kat Carter prize pack.
Get out and skate at 2 Moody Park Arena, which offers public skating throughout the week and weekend. Each weekend, a public skate takes placeon Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 1: 15 to 4: 15 p.m.
The ice comes out at the end of March to make way for lacrosse action so you still have a few more weeks of skating fun to look forward to.
3 Get up on the dance floor when Luv Shak takes to the stage at Starlight Casino in Queensborough. The band, which performs classic hits, rock, dance, pop and R&B tunes, performs from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
4 Get to work and nominate a deserving resident for the Citizen of the Year or the Bernie Legge Cultural Award.
The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations until Feb. 29 and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on March 28.

5 Get inspired for the upcoming Salmonbellies lacrosse season with a visit to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently toured the museum - and you can too.
The museum, located in Centennial Community Centre at 65 East Sixth Ave., includes jerseys, old equipment, photos and trophies including the Mann and Minto cups.
