New Westminster Puffers Club Society meets at New Westminster Public Library, 716 Sixth Ave., 12:30 to 2 p.m. Anyone with COPD or other breathing problems are welcome.

Tuesday, January 14

The Freud-Lewis Connection, presentation will explore what author C.S. Lewis had to do with psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. The play Freud's Last Session suggests Freud invited the young Lewis to his London apartment on the even of the Second World War, just weeks before Freud ended his own life, and the two debated the existence of God, love, sex and the meaning of life. Presented by CityStage New West, Dr. Monika Hilder of Trinity Western University will provide background on Lewis and the Inklings Institute, which will help with the understanding of City Stage New West's upcoming premiere of the award-wining play, Freud's Last Session, which will take place at the Galbraith House from Jan. 28 to Feb. 9.
