The Easter Bunny comes to town this weekend – but he’s not the only game in town. We’ve got some other offerings happening around town – indoors and outside – for your weekend enjoyment. We are continuing with our popular feature, The Record’s Top Five (or More) Things to Do This Weekend and offer the following suggestions for April 18 to 20.

1.  Hop on over to Queen’s Park for the city’s annual Easter in Queen’s Park festivities. The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 20 in the Queen’s park bandshell and Rainbow Playland.  You’ll be able to enjoy family entertainment, children’s activities, crafts and face painting, a petting farm, photos with the Easter Bunnies (for a suggested donation of $2) and more. For more information, call Queen’s Park Arenex at 604-777-5121.

2.  Enjoy Royal City Musical Theatre’s 25th anniversary production of Annie, which runs until April 26 at Massey Theatre. The family musical is getting rave reviews and isn’t to be missed. Tickets are available at www.masseytheatre.com or by calling the Massey box office at 604-521-5050.

3.  Check out the final weekend of Vagabond Players’ spring production of Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), which takes a comedic romp through the world of Shakespeare. The show runs until April 19 at the Bernie Legge Theatre in Queen’s Park. Tickets are $15 or $13 for seniors and students. Call 604-521-0412 to reserve.

4.  Get active at the family swim at Canada Games Pool on Sunday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The swim is $1 for each family member and takes place at 65 East Sixth Ave.

5.  Grab your yo-yo and go-go to River Market, where a free yo-yo club drop-in takes place after 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The market is also offering free crafts and a $6 Music Box class drop-in for kids under three (12:30 to 1:15 p.m.).

6.  Celebrate another successful season of winter markets as Royal City Farmers Market wraps up its winter season at River Market before heading up the hill to Tipperary Park for the summer. The market takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at River Market, 810 Quayside Dr. The summer season begins on June 5.
