Construction around River Market has caused some headaches for folks trying to find parking or access the market. A delegation plans to appear before council Monday night to seek help in dealing with their concerns.

The New West Craft Summer Night Market, a free, family-friendly event, takes place on the boardwalk in front of River Market on Saturday, July 15 for 6 to 9:30 p.m.

2. Kick loose and enjoy Footloose on the big screen at Queen’s Park Stadium on Friday, July 14. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this 80’s classic. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at dusk (around 9 a.m.). A concession will be serving light snacks and beverages.

3. Pop in to the New West Artists Summer Sensations Pop Up Show on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 52 Sixth St. You’ll be able to check out (and buy) artwork, photography, jewelry and cards by members of the local art group.

Enjoy a night out and improve the lives of cats and dogs in Guatemala at the Historic Galbraith Manor’s sixth annual fundraising gala on Saturday, July 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. The event includes a silent and live auction, entertainment and appetizers.
