There’s an eclectic array of events happening in New West this weekend – including some great live entertainment on local stages. Here are our top picks for Feb. 9 to 11

Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10

New West Ska Punk Fest

New West Ska Punk Fest features two nights of “moon stomping, skanking and moshing.” Friday’s lineup includes Rude City Riot, Brasser, The Wavebirds and Bong Chow, while Saturday features Brehdren, Kownterpoint, S.K.A, Phonosonics and Like Bears.

Lunar New Year

Starlight Casino New Westminster is celebrating Lunar New Year with a traditional Lion Dance Ceremony and a performance by the Fortune God. Guests will receive traditional red envelopes with commemorative year of the dragon key chains.

Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet

The Last Romance

The Vagabond Players present The Last Romance by Joe Dipietro. A synopsis states: “Just in time for Valentine's Day, this lovely story proves you are never too old to be struck by Cupid's arrow.”
