A Farwell to Centennial Community Centre event is happening this weekend in New West.

New Westminster Hyacks

The New Westminster Secondary School Hyacks’ varsity football squad will take on St. Thomas More Collegiate in the Hyacks’ final game of the regular season. It’s also Senior Night – the night where the team recognizes graduating seniors and their families.

To Please the Audience

To Please the Audience, written by internationally award-winning playwright and Douglas College creative writing instructor Elaine Avila, is a dark comedy exploring religion, sexuality, power, revenge and love. The college’s theatre and stagecraft and event technology departments are presenting this show, which is based on a true story from the 16th century.

The Royal Canadian Theatre Company presents The Farndale Avenue Murder Mystery, a comedy suitable for anyone aged 12 and older.

PechaKucha New West Volume 32 features 10 speakers who will be presenting on a variety of topics – with each presenter showing 20 images, each lasting 20 seconds.

Farewell to Centennial Community Centre

Farewell to Centennial Community Centre – Walk Through Memory Lane gives community members a chance to say goodbye to the popular facility that’s closing this week – as work continues on the təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre project. The farewell event features free, 15-minute walks through the facility, where folks can collect a memento, take photos and participate in activities.
