Do you know a senior who has made a difference in Burnaby or New Westminster? If so, you may want to consider nominating that person for a Seniors of Distinction Award.
The nomination categories are arts, leadership, community service, and healthy living. Eligible nominees must be at least 65. They must be residents of Burnaby or New Westminster and their accomplishments must have taken place in one of the two cities. Harmony Court’s parent company came up with the idea for the awards, as a way to recognize local seniors. ,

Harmony Court Estates is hosting the awards ceremony on Oct. 1, which coincides with National Seniors Day.
Nomination categories:
Arts: visual, performing, literary, enabling or supporting the arts in the community.
Leadership: service to associations, not for profits, support groups
Community service: volunteerism, community fundraising
Healthy living: sports, gardening, recreation, participation.
