What’s happening?
The Century House Association is holding its annual thrift sale to raise funds for the many offerings at the local seniors centre.
What will I find?
You’ll find bargains galore on clothing, linens, small appliances, children’s items, kitchenware, knick-knacks, toys, DVDs and CDs, plants, jewelry, books and more.
Details, please:
The thrift sale takes place on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 620 Eighth St. Admission is free and refreshments will be for sale.
How can I help?
If you’ve got items around the house that you’re planning to get rid of, Century House is accepting donations from Saturday, April 1 until noon on Friday, April 7. Volunteers are also needed to help in a variety of areas, including sorting the donations during the week before the sale and serving as greeters, cashiers, wrappers or helping with food ticket sales and in the kitchen on the day of the sale. Sign up at the front office or contact volunteer coordinator Liz Twaites at 604-519-1023 or ltwaites@newwestcity.
