Crowds headed to New Westminster’s waterfront for the return of RiverFest.
Fraser River Discovery Centre hosted a variety of events as part of RiverFest 2022. Saturday’s lineup included live music and entertainment, family activities and the Lucille Johnstone workboat parade.
"RiverFest 2022 was a great success, including over 3,000 people coming out to the FRDC and the waterfront on Saturday to enjoy Katari Taiko, Coastal Wolfpack, and Royal Academy of Punjab,” said Stephen Bruyneel, Fraser River Discovery Centre’s director of external relation and development. “Thanks so much to everyone...and see you next year!"
RiverFest is Metro Vancouver’s biggest celebration of the environmental, economic and socio-cultural importance of the Fraser River.
Year-round, Fraser River Discovery Centre hosts a variety of programs and displays related to various aspects of the Mighty Fraser at its centre at 788 Quayside Dr.
