So you want to dance?
Now's your chance to learn how - and from one of the best ballroom dancers around.
Royal City Musical Theatre is offering a ballroom dancing workshop on Feb. 19 with renowned instructor Michel Guimond, of So You Think You Can Dance fame.
The workshop is being offered in conjunction with its April production of the Broadway classic Hello, Dolly!
It's open to everyone interested, aged 13 and up, and people are welcome to participate or to watch.
Participants will be treated to a workshop introducing the tricks of the ballroom trade - on the stage of the Massey Theatre.
Royal City Musical Theatre is now in its 23rd year. This is the group's third year offering musical theatre workshops leading up to its spring production.
The workshop is free to Royal City Musical Theatre members and $35 for nonmembers.
A membership to Royal City Musical Theatre is $20 and, along with the free ballroom workshop, entitles members to discounts on tickets, voting privileges at the annual general meeting and more.
The workshop is set for Sunday, Feb. 19 from 4: 30 to 6 p.m. at the Massey Theatre, 735 Eighth Ave.
