New Westminster parents are being invited to a special event coming up in the city.
The first annual Royal City Kids Fair is slated to run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, in the Fraser River Discovery Centre.
The event was originally slated to be held at the Sapperton Pensioners Hall but will now be hosted at the centre, at 788 Quayside Dr. at the New Westminster Quay, next to River Market and close to New Westminster SkyTrain station.
"We are very happy to welcome the Royal City Kids Fair to the Fraser River Discovery Centre. The fair is a fun and informative event for parents and kids," said centre executive director Catherine Ouellet-Martin. "Teaming up with the Royal City Kids Fair was a perfect fit for us."
Organizers say the event will offer up plenty for both parents and kids - including performances by wellknown local children's performers Bobs and Lolo, more than 50 exhibitors and vendors, kids' crafts and activities and more.
The event is free to attend and is sponsored by The Record newspaper, Knowledge First Financial, Virgin Radio/Astral Media, West Coast Families Magazine, BMO Bank of Montreal - Columbia Square Plaza, PartyWorks Interactive and more.
