Curious? Check out the River Market

It's time to get curious again. The River Market is once again hosting its Curious Flea, a shopping and social event on Sept. 14 and 15.

It's time to get curious again. The River Market is once again hosting its Curious Flea, a shopping and social event on Sept. 14 and 15.

Following on the success of the first Curious Flea in June, River Market is welcoming a bigger contingent of vendors who will be selling collectibles, mid-century modern items and antiques.

Vendors include Brick & Mortar Living, Framed by the Vintage Sisters, Middleground Folk Art and Design, The Upholsterer's Wife, Belle Encore and more. Already home to antique seller Mid-Century Modern Home and Artisan's Market, a cooperative retail space for upcoming artisans to create and sell their wares, River Market is ideal for this modern flea, a media release states.

Curious Flea visitors are also encouraged to take a short stroll over to New Westminster's historic Antique Alley on Front Street.

One of the highlights of the Curious Flea is the Battle of the Curious on Saturday, Sept. 14, where the "mostcurious" find will be immortalized in the Curious Hall of Fame, and the winner will receive what's being billed as a "spectacular" prize.

Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy fresh food offerings from the River Market's many eateries.
