Creating a greener city

New Westminster residents are helping to make the city a greener place. Local folks turned out to help at Hume Park on Sunday, April 13 as part of the Uncover Your Creeks: Citizen Science program.

New Westminster residents are helping to make the city a greener place.

Local folks turned out to help at Hume Park on Sunday, April 13 as part of the  Uncover Your Creeks: Citizen Science program.

The program is hosted by the City of New Westminster and Evergreen, a national not-for-profit organization that works to inspire green cities. Through the program, volunteers help to manage invasive plants, plant native plants and monitor the water quality in the Brunette River.
