The VSO is bringing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to the Massey Theatre stage today (Sunday, Dec. 17) at 2 p.m. The concert features violinist/leader Philippe Quint, along with flute soloist Christie Reside.
Quint – described as “one of the most lyrical, elegant and poetic violinists in the world today” – will perform Vivaldi’s timeless classic on the 1708 “Ruby” Stradivarius violin.
The program also includes Telemann’s Concerto for Flue and Violin in E minor, Hasse’s Sinfonia in G Minor and the Geminiani/Corelli Concerto grosso No. 12 in D minor.
