What’s happening?

The Glamoramas are presenting the second annual Rant on Sister event in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8. In addition to featured ranters, the evening includes a silent auction and door prizes.

What’s it all about?

Coun. Mary Trentadue will MC the event that includes a number of featured ranters: Gustavo Magana Campos; Candice James; Maryam Khalil; Alex King; Lori Mayhew; Hayley Sinclair; Trudy Van Dop; and Biliana Velkova. The evening also features a musical performance by Eden Fine Day.

Want to rant?

People are invited to rant for up to three minutes for a fee of $10. The event is a fundraiser for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which supports grassroots organizations that help grandmother who are raising their grandchildren due to the AIDS pandemic in sub-Saharan Africa.

Rant on Sister is taking place on Wednesday, March 8 at the Columbia Theatre, 530 Columbia St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for food and refreshments and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
