People can assist with special projects like annual garage sale, represent group on city committees, and help maintain website. Pecha Kucha New West, night of local culture and entertainment. Event begins at 6:30 p.m. and presentations start at 7:30 p.m., River Market food hall, 810 Quayside Dr. Features 10 presenters from a range of fields of interests, all with a connection to New West, who will share who they are and what makes them passionate. Each presenter gets 20 images of 20 seconds each to make a presentation. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance. For tickets go to www.pechakucha.org/cities/new-westminster.

Library book club, which is reading Behind the Scene sat the Museum by Kate Atkinson and will discuss it at 7 p.m. Copies of the book can be borrowed from the library at 716 Sixth Ave. Please pre-register at 604-527-4667.
