Travel show at the library, Gaudi's famous architecture in Barcelona is highlighted with the New Westminster Public Library takes an armchair tip to Spain. Eunice Hodge will show her slides at 2:30 p.m. The travel shows are co-sponsored by the library and the University Women's Club of New Westminster and are held in the library's auditorium at 716 Sixth Ave. The library is wheelchair accessible.

It's income tax time, are you ready? Presentation at New Westminster Public Library will focus on how to use the income Tax guide, how newcomers fill out the Income Tax forms ad how to apply for benefits like GST, CCTB and UCCB. Penalties for filing late and much more will be discussed at the session, which is being held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 716 Sixth Ave. Session is co-sponsored by the library and MOSAIC's settlement program. How to set up a business, presentation will help newcomers learn about Canadian business practices and encourage them to start a business in B.C., 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thierry Barbier, business advisor with the Economic Development Corporation of British Columbia, will present the program and include how to prepare a business plan. The presentation will be conducted in English with translation available in French, Chichewa, Nyanja, Lingala and Swahili. Downsizing, a two-part series at the New Westminster Public Library will address questions about downsizing. Part 2: Save the Best, shed the rest, 7 p0m. Clutter coach Anna Camporese will talk about downsizing your belongings, and give you tools and tips that will help you decide what's best to keep and how to shed the rest. Programs are free and held in New Westminster Public Library auditorium, which is wheelchair accessible. As space is limited, pre-register in the library or at 604-527-4667.
