Second man charged in Vancouver Crab Park homicide

A second man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing that led to the death of the victim at the scene.

A second man is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with a fatal stabbing in Vancouver’s waterfront Crab Park.

Andrew Wadden, a 45-year-old Vancouver resident, was stabbed May 7 just before 10:20 a.m, police said.

Police and emergency medical crews were later called and Wadden was found alive with life-threatening injuries.

He later died at the scene.

Police initially charged Eric Gaon Kim in connection with the incident. Now, David Christian Bentil has also been charged with second-degree murder.

Both appeared in Vancouver Provincial Court May 10. Bentil stood quietly in the prisoners dock while Kin appeared by video.

Both return to court May 31.
