The unofficial winning numbers were 16, 31, 42, 44, 45 and 48, with the bonus number 15.

A ticket in Courtenay on Vancouver Island won the $1 million gold ball prize draw.

It's been quite a month for Northern B.C. lottery players.

Someone who bought a ticket in Dawson Creek for Wednesday's draw also hit five of the six winning numbers, plus the bonus number, for a prize of $73,607.30.

The odds of having five of the six winning numbers, plus the bonus number, in the 6/49 are 1 in 2,330,636.

A ticket sold in Kitimat for the June 7 Lotto Max draw had six of the seven winning numbers, plus the bonus numbers, for a prize of $564,874.20.

Last month, Sherry Wickes of Prince George claimed $75,000 she won in the BC49 lottery.
