North Vancouver RCMP ask for help identifying suspect of multiple break and enters

Police in North Van received reports of three separate break and enters over the span of two days in July

North Vancouver RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they believe was involved in three separate break and enter situations this month.

Police received a report of a break and enter at a residential building in the 2100 block of Chesterfield Avenue on July 8 around 4 a.m.

Local Mounties say CCTV footage from the building captured a male gaining access into the building. While nothing was stolen, damage was caused to the property.

Two days later, on July 10, police received another report from the same building, where the suspect entered and stole roughly $600 in cash, a wheelchair and “several personal items.” The footage from that day suggests the same person was involved in both break and enters.

Later that same day, Mounties got a call from a resident in the 100 block of Chesterfield Avenue, where a suspect gained access to another residential building, causing damage to the front door. No items were reported stolen in this incident, police said.

“We have exhausted all investigative avenues in our attempt to identify the suspect and are now appealing to the public for assistance,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, media relations officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “We are releasing still images of the suspect captured on CCTV in hopes that someone can help us identify him.”

Police ask anyone with information about the incidents or who can identify the suspect is to call 604-985-1311 and quote file number 2025-14061. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 TIPS (8477).
