"Chasing sunsets will never get old," writes Instagrammer @cassandre_5678, captioning a photo of the stunning end-of-day skies as seen from Burnaby Mountain Thursday night.
We'd have to agree.
Pink cotton candy clouds stretched against a late-evening backdrop of shocking blue, before giving way to streaks of blazing gold and awe-inspiring purples as the sun sank into the horizon.
Those by the water got to see glints of shimmering red and orange dancing on the waves.
As expected, folks pulled out their cameras and phones to capture the free show. We've rounded up a few spectacular shots for your enjoyment.
If you missed out, luckily the sunset happens again tonight. And with the current heatwave, those nighttime hours might be a more ideal time to be outside.
PS if you are grabbing shots of your views in Vancouver and sharing them on Instagram, don't forget to tag them #vancouverisawesome so we can see them too!
