Lit lovers, this one’s for you.

The Cat Musings Reading Series – run in partnership by Renaissance Books, New West Artists and the Royal City Literary Arts Society – continues at the New West Artists Gallery on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The reading, including a variety open mic, runs from 7 to 9 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Janene White hosts the evening, which features Cynthia Sharp, the City of Richmond’s writer in residence. Sharp is a member of the League of Canadian Poets and on the executive of the Federation of B.C. Writers. She’s been featured at the Vancouver Writers Festival, Word Vancouver, the SFU reading series, Words on Fire in Port Alberni and other literary events around North America.

Her work has appeared in journals such as CV2, Lantern Magazine and untethered, among others.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted. The gallery is at 712C 12th St., next to Renaissance Books.
