The Arts Council of New Westminster is looking for artists to exhibit work in 2020.

The arts council currently has a call for artists open for next year’s exhibition schedule; submissions are being accepted up until 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.

The gallery is open to applications from both established and emerging artists. A call for artists notes the arts council wishes to highlight the diversity of the community and, in order to break down exclusionary barriers and provide a platform for marginalized voices, artists on the LGBTQ spectrum, non-binary artists, artists of colour, Indigenous artists and those with disabilities are strongly encouraged to submit.

Exhibitions will hang in The Gallery at Queen’s Park, which has a main gallery space on the main floor and a lower studio downstairs.

The call covers monthly exhibitions between February and November 2020. Exhibits typically open on the first Wednesday of every month and close on the last Sunday of the month.

Artists wishing to be considered need to provide eight to 10 digital images, along with artist statement and biography and a CV.
