If you have a young teen in the house over Christmas break, here’s a fun event to check out together.
100 Braid Street Studios is holding two Family Paint and Sip nights over the Christmas holidays, aimed at people aged 12 and up (anyone under 19 must attend with an adult).
The nights give participants a chance to create a painting, step by step, led by professional artist Iris Mes-Low. They include snacks and beverages – hot chocolate, coffee, tea and lemonade – and all supplies needed to help create the painting. (Note that, as it is a family event, these nights will be alcohol-free.)
No painting skills or experience are necessary.
On Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., participants will work on Birds on a Wire. On Friday, Jan. 5, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., the painting of the evening will be Winter Moose.
