The theatre is continuing its Global Tea Room series on Sunday, Feb. 23 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The concert series, hosted by Cassius Khan, introduces audience to the tea and musical traditions of a variety of cultures around the world. The featured performer on Feb. 23 is Bosnian musician Zelko Krakan. Krakan, who is a violinist, composer and arranger, is a former member of the Sarajevo Symphony Orchestra and the Sagrestano Chamber String Orchestra, with whom he toured throughout Europe and Asia. Since coming to Vancouver in the early 1990s, Krakan has performed extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. He’s a founder of Trio Allegra, with whom he released two CDs, East West Journey and Because We Like It, and he has performed music on four continents.

He currently teaches violin in his own studio, Studio Felix, and at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby.
