The 12 days of Christmas aren’t over yet – and neither is the fun at the Anvil Centre’s Winter Celebrations.

The family-friendly festivities continue at the Anvil Centre up to and including Sunday, Jan. 5. It's closed today (New Year's Day, Jan. 1) but reopens tomorrow, Jan. 2, for a final weekend of fun.

So if you’re looking for a way to wind up the holiday season with a bang, then be sure to drop in. Each day includes a roster of free entertainment and family activities, starting at 3 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends.

Here are five reasons to head down for the final days of fun this coming weekend.

1. Al’s Story-Time Diner:

Join storyteller Allan Morgan on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon, for some storytelling fun. Morgan, the Massey Theatre’s current artist-in-residence, is inviting everyone to “gather round the table and dine on the stories you love.

2. Ceilidh with Blackthorn:

Bring the whole family down on Saturday, Jan. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a family party featuring the four-member band Blackthorn. Three of the members share vocals, and the musicians all contributed an array of instruments for the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland, and the folk music of English and French Canada - from lively jigs and reels to heart-wrenching airs and ballads

4. It’s a Wonderful Life:
