Should indoor masks still be mandatory in B.C.? (VIDEO)

We asked some Vancouver residents about easing mask restrictions. 😷

It was commonplace for almost eight months - wearing a mask inside.

But, since July 1, the B.C. government has ended the province's mandatory mask policy in Step 3 of its four-step restart plan.

The decision has been met with mixed reaction from the general public, with many feeling it's too soon as coronavirus variants continue to spread.

Masks are still recommended in public indoor settings for all people over 12 who are not fully vaccinated.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is encouraging people to support businesses and their employees since the mask mandate lifted, saying, "I ask people to support businesses, to protect their workers, and to live up to their requirements."

V.I.A. asked some Vancouver residents whether they think indoor masks should still be mandatory in B.C.
