The BC Vaccine Card program comes into effect today, which means that proof of vaccination will be required at a broad range of discretionary events and businesses across the province.

Effective Monday, Sept. 13, British Columbians must show proof of at least one dose of vaccination to gain entry to places such as restaurants with table service, large sporting events, gyms, and more.

How can I access my card?

You can get either save a digital copy of your card to your mobile device or print a hard copy to present along with your government-issued photo identification when entering designated businesses and events. Find some clever hacks on how to access the card on your smartphone when showing it is required for entry.

Don't have your card yet but need to visit a business that requires it?

The Province has allowed a grace period until Sept. 23 for people to get their official BC Vaccine Card. During this period, you may use the paper copy you received at a COVID-19 vaccination clinic as proof.

How do I use it to enter an event or business?

You should have your card ready when entering a business. Ensuring it is easily accessible on your smartphone or in your wallet will save you time. Someone will look at your vaccine card as well as a valid piece of government ID, so have both ready before you asked for them.
