Summer Night's Dream
Steve Clements, centre, led the Noxious Obs marching band in procession to Glenbrook Ravine to kick off the New West Summer Night's Dream solstice celebration on Sunday, June 23. The student initiative has received rave reviews from Coun. Jaimie McEvoy.

If you didn’t attend A New West Summer Night’s Dream, you missed out on a great event.

Coun. Jaimie McEvoy is giving a rave review to the event and kudos to the kids who organized the June 23 event that started at the Canada Games Pool parking lot and featured a procession into the Glenbrook Ravine. The free community event, held to mark the solstice, featured a marching band, performances throughout the ravine by local artists and a variety of students and groups from NWSS.

“It was absolutely fabulous,” McEvoy said. “It’s going to happen next year, and you are going to want to attend. It was a really amazing event that they put on.”
