4. Support two great programs (I’s on the Street and KidSport) at the Rotary Club of New Westminster’s Bevies and Bites fundraiser. El Santo, Sapperton District Taphouse and the Hyack Festival Association are providing bites and Steel & Oak Brewing Co., Another Beer Co., Pacific Breeze Winery, Dageraad Brewing, Dead Frog Brewery, Tinhouse Brewing Co. Moody Ales, Foamer’s Folly Brewers Co., Yellow Dog Brewing Co., Green Hill Cider and Wize Spirits Inc. are providing beverages. A silent auction, raffles and networking opportunities will round out the event (for 19 years and up) that’s on Saturday, Feb. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Royal City Centre, 610 Sixth St. Tickets are $35 and available at www.newwestrotary.org.
5. Hit the dancefloor at the RedBar Lounge at Starlight Casino on Saturday night, when Famous Players perform tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today’s top hits. Starlight Casino is at 350 Gifford St. in Queensborough.
