So who cares about newspapers anyway?

The New Westminster Museum is presenting a special session called Read All About It, on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to noon.

In conjunction with the museum’s current feature exhibition, Getting the Word Out, archivist Barry Dykes will present and discuss the archives’ newspaper collection ranging from the 1870s up to the modern era. Dykes will explain the value of historical newspapers and the importance of preserving them, and he’ll look at how modern technologies are making them widely accessible.

It’s on at the Anvil Centre, Studio 411A at 777 Columbia St., and it’s by donation.
