Queen’s Park and the waterfront were a sea of red and white on Canada Day.
The City of New Westminster’s annual festivities in Queen’s Park included family-friendly activities and an afternoon of entertainment on the bandshell stage.
On the waterfront, folks had a chance to enjoy musical entertainment and to shop from vendors on the boardwalk.
Not to be outdone, the annual New Westminster Multicultural Festival at Westminster Pier Park included food, live entertainment, vendor booths and more.
Sunny skies gave way to a clear night – and folks of all ages turned out en masse to watch the Hyack Festival Association’s annual fireworks show on the waterfront.
