The New Westminster Beekeepers Association is teaming up with New Westminster Public Library to host an introductory workshop on beekeeping. It’s on Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m. at the main branch of the library, 716 Sixth Ave. It’s free, but registration is required at www.nwpl.ca.

“Are you interested in learning about bees and the environment? Curious about the responsibilities of managing a bee hive? Interested in community beekeeping? The New Westminster Beekeepers association will share facts about the fascinating world of bees, honey and beekeeping,” said a notice about the workshop. “Come and learn interesting information about pollinators, and how to get involved in community beekeeping.”
