The new technology lab at New Westminster Public Library’s main branch brings the opportunity to teach structured computer classes on an ongoing basis. We mentioned this briefly in last week’s article, but here’s what’s coming up on the schedule for May 2019. Join us for Introduction to Microsoft Excel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. This course will provide the basics of how to create, edit and use spreadsheets.
On Thursday, May 2 at 2 p.m. we’ll be offering Overdrive on Mobile with Apple and Android. In this session, you can learn how to access library titles on Android and Apple devices (smart phones and tablets) using the Overdrive and Libby apps and your NWPL card.
Microsoft Word for Beginnersreturns on May 14 at 7 p.m. and May 22 at 2 p.m.Learn how to use the basics of this popular word processor and document creator.
Introduction to Lynda returns on May 16 at 2 p.m. Come learn how to access online tutorials for self-directed study, using your NWPL card.
We’ll be offering Introduction to Library Computers on Saturday, May 18 at 2 p.m. In this class, you can learn how to log on to library computers, access the internet, print documents, and more.
Interested in learning how to access digital magazines with your NWPL card? Join us for RB Digital Magazines on Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m.
