You can once again help make Christmas a little merrier for a local senior through the Seniors Service’s Society’s Santa for Seniors program.

The Santa for Seniors program is getting underway for another year – and hoping to put some smiles on the faces of local seniors.

The Seniors Services Society is organizing the annual Santa for Seniors program, which delivered Christmas presents to about 150 seniors last year. It’s anticipating it will provide even more gifts this year to seniors who may be isolated or alone.

Between Nov. 18 and Dec. 13, you can visit one of the participating stores and look for a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments. You can pick an ornament, shop for the gift(s) indicated on the ornament and leave the unwrapped gifts at the stores’ customer service desks – as Seniors Services Society staff and volunteers will do the rest.

Ornaments will be found at London Drugs (555 Sixth St.), Your Dollar Store with More (811 Carnarvon St.) and Save-On-Foods Sapperton (270 East Columbia St.).
