Fraser River Discovery Centre is inviting families in for plenty of summer fun.
This past weekend, the centre hosted a Plants Alive workshop for families on Saturday, Aug. 4. The workshop, developed by SFU biology student Rylan Lampson, gave families a chance to take part in a walking tour, participate in a microscopic activity and do a craft - all on the theme of the plant life that grows around the Fraser River.
This coming weekend, the centre opens its doors for the New Westminster Cultural Crawl on Saturday and Sunday. The centre is featuring its *click* photos of the Fraser exhibit, plus a screening of a special film by Erin Parks titled WILLOW: 7 weeks in Aquarius.
It's open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
