It was all fun and games at Salmonbellies Day 2018.
New Westminster’s lacrosse community – past and present – enjoyed a day of fun activities, food, prizes and comraderie at Salmonbellies Day on Sunday, June 17 on the Queen’s Park East field.
The City of New Westminster proclaimed June 17 at New Westminster Salmonbellies Day, in recognition of the fact that the Salmonbellies have represented the city proudly at national events at the junior, senior level and have proven to be great ambassadors for New Westminster. The proclamation also stated the Salmonbellies give back to the community on an ongoing basis, provide training and educate young boys and girls on how to play lacrosse, one of Canada’s two national sports.
