A 12-year-old boy from Salmon Arm has landed himself in the Guinness Book of World Records.

A Salmon Arm boy has got his name in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Twelve-year-old Auldin Maxwell achieved the recognition for stacking a record-breaking tower of Jenga blocks.

Maxwell stacked an amazing 693 Jenga pieces on one single upright block.

Guinness congratulated the boy in a video post on its Facebook page, Monday.

"I've wanted to be in the Guinness World Records book ever since I was six years old," says Auldin. "I have balanced and stacked things my whole life ... I treasure the block that held the 695 record Jenga blocks by keeping it on my shelf in my room. This is my dream come true!"

Once the feat was complete and his dad measured the stack, Auldin used copies of the Guinness record book to topple his creation.
