Winter weather continues to wreak havoc of on travel plans for many Metro Vancouver residents.
Today, B.C. Ferries announced that it had cancelled many of its sailings throughout the day due to “adverse weather conditions and high winds.”

The following sailings have been cancelled for Sunday, Jan. 12:
Tsawwassen (Vancouver) - Swartz Bay (Victoria)
Departing Tsawwassen - 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm
Departing Swartz Bay - 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm
Tsawwassen (Vancouver) - Duke Point (Nanaimo)
Departing Tsawwassen - 10:15 am, 12:45 pm, 3:15 pm, 5:45 pm
Departing Duke Point - 10:15 am, 12:45 pm, 3:15 pm, 5:45 pm
Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) - Departure Bay (Nanaimo)
Departing Departure Bay - 10:40 am, 1:00 pm, 3:20 pm, 5:55 pm

Customers with Reservations on cancelled sailings:
All customers with reservations on cancelled sailings have been advised by email that their booking is cancelled and where possible, accommodated on a later sailing if there is unreserved deck space available. Reservations that are cancelled will have their reservation fees fully refunded.
Customers arriving at the terminal without Reservations:
Customers will be loaded on a standby basis in their order of arrival at the terminal, after customers with reservations for the scheduled sailing.
Harbour Air tweeted earlier this morning that all its routes were currently flying.

Same goes for Helijet, although one flight was cancelled due to a “scheduled operating procedure.”
